All the info I could find on asenapine (saphris) indicates that it isn't so much a *better* option than the other atypicals; its just another option amongst the atypicals.
The weight gain is apparently minimal, although time will tell with that one. In terms of EPS, they're saying its good stuff, but the studies compared it to Haldol, so anything will come out looking good, really.
What's the problem(s) with your zyprexa? Why are you so eager to switch over?
