Risperdal makes my mouth so dry that I can barely speak without first making an effort to moisten it. My tongue sticks to the top of my mouth.
In general I do have dry mouth, for whatever reason.
My ENT suggests drinking lots of water with a bit of lemon squeezed in it. And chewing gum. I chew lots of gum, even when I'm not taking risperdal, because of dry mouth.
The risperdal reduces my anxiety so I don't think anxiety is a factor.
