Yet another no. My endocrinologist will not prescribe me T3. Apparently he said the thyroid gods that trained him said you can only use T3 after surgery because it acts so quickly and is so hard to regulate. My point is that it can't be that dangerous since they used it in STAR*D with normal subjects without thyroid issues. My thyroid was a little low, so he upped my T4 a bit. I doubt it will help, but you never know.
So anyway, just in case someone is counting, the list of NOs I have includes adding T3, adding very high does Parnate if it's going to make me convulse, adding Nortriptyline, adding Ritalin, adding Wellbutrin, adding Tyrosine, adding Sam-e, adding St. John's Wort. Some of the NOs are from my doc and some from here, but they are all non-options now nonetheless. I'm sick of hearing NOs. I would really like to start hearing some yes's. Nevertheless, I know the NOs (at least the ones from this site) are there to keep me safe, so it's worth it. Frustrating, but worth it. I just had to vent for a moment.
