Stablon/tianeptine and RLS

Posted by clipper40 on September 28, 2009, at 22:08:05

Do you think that tianeptine should improve or worsen RLS? On the one hand it is a tricyclic (which are generally bad for RLS) but on the other hand, it's not a typical tricyclic. According to Wikipedia "it enhances the extracellular concentration of dopamine in the nucleus accumbens." I would think that would translate into it being a helpful drug for RLS.

What do you think? Does anyone here have any real life experience with this medication and condition to substantiate or disprove this?
