Hi Everybody:
I'm sorry I haven't been posting. I haven't been sure what to say about Parnate. I've been on a real roller coast ride, never knowing what twist or turn was coming next.
I have felt really good and terribly depressed, and at one point felt it had pooped out totally.
A big piece seems to be not only how much Parnate to take but WHEN to take it.
Pdoc upped me to 70mg/day, taken afternoon and evening. This seems to be much much better for me. I've been doing this for 4 or 5 days. Every night I'm afraid I'll have insomnia. That's been erratic, also.
This change to late afternoon and evening is making Parnate much more effective for me. Also raising it to 70mg is good.
So I'd say Parnate is working very well for me right now. I have to push myself to start projects more, but once I start I can see it through to the end. My feelings are much more at the surface and don't feel blunted like they were, (that's good and bad!). I have very little social anxiety or GAD either. I think having so little anxiety is what makes me kind of lazy, whereas it was fear/anxiety that kept me from initiating things before
Overall, it's very good. I just wish I had more motivation to START things. But I'm getting better. My mood is much better, brighter, confident with more humor too. People notice it in my voice.
I wish I had a source for Provigil. I'm taking adrafinil but it isn't nearly as strong, in my estimation, but better than nothing. Also, taking Parnate at night makes me not so tired during the day. That is getting much better.
Parnate is working far far better than anything else I've ever been on.
I hope it continues!
****Scott, and others who take Parnate, do you think I could take all 7 tablets at once at bedtime?? ****
Right now I'm taking 4 at about 6:30 and then 3 at 10 or 10:30 along with my Nortriptyline. Thanks,
Gayle
