In reply to SSRI sex fx, tot. testosterone = 318?????, posted by sadRulz on March 5, 2009, at 2:39:36

My urologist says that is in the normal range of 240 - 950. He said my low libido is most likely related to the SSRI. NO SH**, DOC. That's why you make the big bucks. He considered testosterone in the 100s to be a low count and said that replacement therapy (e.g., androgel) probably wouldn't do much. Being the socially anxious guy I am I was like "well, okay, doc, thanks for your time" and didn't ask too many questions.

Did you get your T/SHBG ratio tested? I just tested my testerone, and It was in the low end of normal, but my T/SHBG ratio was too low meaning that I had too little free testosterone. Basicly not enough T. You might have the same problem and your doc didn't pick it up.
