Nardil to Marplan washout period

I had originally planned to switch from Nardil back to Parnate, but am now thinking that giving Marplan a shot would make sense.
Can anyone provide any tell me what a minimal washout period should be between Nardil and Marplan. I know that the common notion is 7-14 days, but I've heard that the two meds are somewhat similar so I'm wondering if this is an overly cautious washout period.
