I wouldn't mess with it unless I had really well-researched reasons.

My experience with Klonopin is that the effective dosage and time until it starts acting differs from time to time. I think some of it has to do with how full your stomach is.

Valium acts faster than Klonopin. So if you take Valium after Klonopin, you could have them compounding each other. Like drinking beer after you had been drinking scotch or some other hard liquor all night. Bad idea.

For me, sometimes it takes more than an hour for Klonopin to start working noticeably. My personal, and very unprofessional, practice is to take another .5 mg of Klonopin if the original dose isn't working after 90 minutes.
