Even if seizures were a guaranteed thing instead of a risk from ECT, I think that pales in comparison to the other risks.
If you think about it, anything that is so violent to the brain that it requires barbituates and muscle paralyzers to stop the body from seizures, that can't be a good thing. ECT was a nightmare experience for me. Wish I had never done it. My memory is so shot I don't even know how I got as far as ECT or who my doctor was that got me there. Am I at more risk of seizures? Dunno.
