You know when you were a kid, and it was Chrismas eve? And you get sort of an excited thrill course thru your body whenever you thought about the next day? A thrill that literally feels like it's coming from your adrenal glads. This is the only thing I can think to describe it; I can't attest to what it feels like to do extreme sports, risky behavior, bungee jumping or roller coasters; I'm a pretty avoidant person. Anyway, I keep getting this "thrill" feeling. Exactly like when I was a kid and it was Christmas eve. Except: It keeps happening and happening, to the point where it almost feels sore and unpleasant near my adrenal glands. It doesn't feel exactly like anxiety, but is it? It's a feeling that, in a small amount, would indicate excitement. But repeatedly like this, it feels like something is over-firing and wrong, and hence unpleasant. I've had this mystery symptom off and on for years, but thought I'd better get to the bottom of what it is since it's bothering me. Thanks for any ideas!
Background: I'm on 40mg citalopram (Celexa), and recently started lamotrigine (Lamictal). Also 100mg/day of Seroquel for anxiety. I believe I have unipolar depression with a lot of anxiety.
Thanks!
