Some doctors used to do this with Nardil. The ones that I have spoken to have indicated success using a 3 month holiday. I knew one doctor who cycled his patient between Nardil and Parnate. When one pooped-out, he would immediately switch to the other.I used to be able to regain my responsivity to TCA after a holiday of several months.
I wouldn't want to advise you at this point, but your idea is not without precedent.
