Daughter seems depressed on Focalin

I've got a question about my daughter who is nine. Big surprise she has issues too. She takes 10mg xr Focalin once a day and is peppy for a few hours by the afternoon, she is flat, very quiet and almost depressed, complains she's bored doesn't seem to find pleasure in things. She has ADD but do you think she has something else going on or is it just the way the meds work?
