One of the best combinations I took was actually lithium and ritalin. I don't know if a doctor would prescribe that again, seems like a longshot.

Why did you wonder if a dr. would prescribe that again? Are you still taking them?
I weaned off all meds last year (except .25 clonazepam for sleep.) Now I realize I need them again. I will disappoint family if they find out I have gone on Prozac 20 mg and Ritalin 5 mg along with the clonazepam. However, they keep commenting how well I am doing. I know the doctor prescribed the ritalin to give the prozac a starting boost. Now I find that it is the only thing that gives me motivation, reduces fatigue, improves concentration, etc. and don't want to give it up. My question: What has been your experience with ritalin? Long term effects? Efficacy? Dangers--for 60 yr. old? Stigma? Thanks for any info you have. Jane
