pain with prozac

Posted by janeB on August 3, 2006, at 15:28:27

Is there any medical reason that SSRIs (right now prozac, but in the past--zoloft and lexapro) would cause upper right pain under ribs? It is not my gall bladder as that was removed a few years ago. It feels like something is irritating the inside of my front ribs. The pain is not debilitating, just very annoying. It hurts to bend over and garden, lift grandchildren and limits exercising (which is what the doctor really thinks will help my depression.) What should I do? I can't motivate myself to exercise without antidepressants and then my insides hurt with the meds so I don't exercise while taking prozac either. I know, "talk to my doctor is what you will think and say." Well, I wanted to talk to you all first because you seem to know more than doctors :). Thanks, Jane
