I see it as sort of the same difference between an OB Dr. and midwife,

You are lucky... the only reason I even went to a pdoc in the first place was because my GP said he didn't feel comfortable treating my condition (don't blame him, it really isn't his job anyway). I'm going to talk to my GP again though, and tell him that *I* don't feel comfortable having the PDOC treat my condition LOL.
