I remember my first 100mg dose of Neurontin causing enough muscle relaxation to make me think my eyelids were drooping. An anti-anxiety effect was also noted, but not emotional blunting. Poop out occurred and I had to eventually raise the dose to 300mg TID, but at that dose, too much weight gain and brain fog occurred. Later I was using 600mg at bedtime in conjuction with trazodone and it was the best sleep I've had, though still not optimal for me.
I wonder if I'll experience the same thing with pregabalin, now that's available.
Too bad Jay Goldstein is not practicing anymore.
