Lexapro dosage

Posted by ticki4 on February 18, 2005, at 10:18:13

I have been taking Prozac for 4 years (only 5-10 mgs). I am extremely sensitive to drugs and also take Klonopin for anxiety and Phenobarbital for epilepsy.

My doctor recently switched me off the Prozac to Lexapro. I immediately started have intestional issues so she recommended I take Lactaid. It has not helped much and I continue to have pain and runny stools. She is now wanting to put me back on the Prozac (however emotionally I feel much better on the Lexapro if I could just get my stomach to cooperate).

I am only taking 5 mg. of Lexapro and thought about maybe only taking that every other day. Is this somethis that is even worth trying or am I just setting myself up for failure. Will the lactose intolerance go away?

Thanks for any help you can give me.
