I'm sorry about that, some doc's are really stingy about medications, i had one before, dr. grey. If you want to chage medications with these kind, DO NOT, tell him another medication you want to switch too, becuase usally they will argue and not consider it.
Just say what kind of symptoms you have, I used to put my dad's client brief's in the refrigerator all the time, becuase i would just come home tired and go into a daze and not rerember anything. I used to leave my history book in there too back in high school. and then find the milk carton in the cabnients, CRAZY! I told him also i dont pay attention on the highway, and usally daze off and swerve into other lanes causing wrecks and chaos, but now finally i make sure my mind doesnt go in these space cadet states.
That made him worry some.. adn he did finally chagne my medication to dexedrine, before i was on adderall which didnt really work, even at high doses, i was on 60mg a day.
Methylphenidayte at high doses can act stimilar to dexedrine, but many articles say dexedrine is smoother than ritilin. Still i hope you can convice your doctor of the medication that you need.
Oh, you asked what miltown felt like, its similar to barbiturates, but i mean tolerance skyrockets fairly fast. When i used to feel like metal was just grinding in my body, i took one or two, it made things better, mmm like feeling of calmness thats enjoyable, like just dont worry about things and enjoy life. benzo's arent really enjoyable they just make you calm, klonoplin gave me like a "depressed calm". Anyways, Higher doses do produce euphoria, but the tolerance keeps going up, so eventually I just stopped taking it.
