Good for you!
That's the right goal...to be able to function without meds.
Like you said, meds are very scary. They do work wonders for many people...but people still have to be aware of all the risks involved.
When they test meds, they only get results based on the individuals they test....and that does not include you or me....and thousands of other people. Drugs used to treat depression, anxiety, panic, OTC, ED etc. have only been on the market a very short time. All the effects are not known yet. They are learning something new everyday.
But when you have no other option, and the meds work....it is worth a few side effects.
Still...being able to function without them would be wonderful.
