In reply to Effexor Depakote withdrawal -- Please help, posted by lorily on July 1, 2004, at 11:07:14

Only had a slight moment or two of the zappy thing in the head. 6-22 I cut Depakote in half (to 125 mg) for a week and haven't taken it since. I feel so much better. clear headed. My therapist never agreed with the bipolar diag. I had been taking Depakote 2 years, low dose and have been taking Effexor 1-1/2 years almost. I am terrified of having those withdrawals I've been reading about.

I wonder if I cut my Effexor in half from 75mg if my tiredness will be decreased. What do you think? Also the half life of depakote is 9-16 hours according to my nursing drug guide. hope that helps. how do you feel on 37mg of effexor? i have only been on for about 6 weeks and am tired.
