>hello there, chemist here....it depends on your dosing regimen. in the long run, klonopin taken daily will prove to be less sedating: your system will adjust, and you will hover at a more or less low anxiety state. xanax is more frequently prescribed for prn dosing, and it is quite a kick, thus sedation and a quick come-down. however, long-term xanax use will lead to tolerance and dose escalation more rapidly than klonopin. in my opinion, klonopin taken regularly with xanax for breakthrough panic/anxiety is a very good combo.....all the best, chemist
