I was warned by my pdoc that I would get real tired when I stopped taking Adderall XR and I DID-plus experienced the Depressed Mood that you experienced. Perhaps a drug holiday is no good:do you take it only for depression? That's what I have but many people take it for ADD. I had an awful time trying to fall asleep at night. Maybe I took it too late in the morning (9AM) What time did you take it?
> Thanks Snapper, I hope so too. I didn't take it today because it's the weekend I thought maybe I should only take during the work week. I am scared about it pooping out on me. Anyhow, today I just felt awful ... back down in the hole. I think I will take it tomorrow regardless of what day it is.

I can feel it wear off in the evening but it doesn't make me crash emotionally like the Ritalin. I did have trouble sleeping but hopefully that will even out soon.

That is what makes Adderall unique! It does'nt have that 'herky-jerky' effect that most of the other stims do.I also beleive that because of its' smooth effect, that is what makes it particularly useful in certain depressive mood states. Hope you continue to have success!
