For what it's worth, provigil definitely feels akin to the other stimulants I've taken. It's understandable that the makers of provigil would do their best to obscure Provigil's actual mechanism of action in order to keep its C-IV status intact. That's not to say that Provigil is identical to the other stimulants, but Cephalon cites studies that show that prazosin blocks its stimulant effect on their monograph, but neglects to mention that DAT knockout mice do not get a wakefulness effect either (the study was published in 2001 and i put in a link to it further down the page).
