Sonata vs. Ambien

Hey! Sonata works OK...I think the dosage ranges from 5 mgs (for old people, kids, etc.) to 20mgs nightly. I took 20mgs, and it worked reasonably well. Ambien, however, worked much better: I went to sleep faster and stayed asleep, and woke up refreshed (as long as you sleep 7+ hours, daytime grogginess shouldn't be too much of a problem on Ambien). Ambien's dosing is much less flexible than that of Sonata: 5mgs for those with health conditions or old people, 10mgs for everybody else. Your doc might start you on 5 for a nite or two, then do 10 for a while, and then end the course of treatment with a few nites of 5mg doses.A couple people I know were treated this way, and it worked out well.
