genetic intolerance to SSRI's

Posted by green hornet on March 27, 2004, at 8:47:10

I found this website that really speaks too my family's situation.

http://radio.weblogs.com/0117471/2003/10/05.html

However there seems to be a codicil to the whole thing for us. The above is not true with Celexa or Lexapro.
I am one of fifteen women all descended directly from the same person (female) who suffer almost identical symptoms and med responses. I am fourth generation, same has occured in each gereration, but not ALL females are effected, the percentage seems to be around 35%.
Anyone else out there have an apparently genetic componant to their mental illness?
