I've been prescribed Vicodin (hydrocodone) which always helps me tremendously. Then they put me on Fentenyl (Druagesic Patch) which is a POWERFUL opiate - however, did NOTHING for my mood. Why/how did I get these prescribed by a psych doc? Because I've tried everything else over the past 12 years including ECT and the VNS (Vegus Nerve Stiumlator) and NOTHING has helped me to feel "normal" EXCEPT certain opiates.
