In reply to Paresthesia (tingling) with Lexapro, posted by Iansf on March 24, 2004, at 1:16:28
> I've been taking Lexapro 10mg/d for about six weeks. Last night in the middle of the night I woke with paresthesia (tingling sensation that's like both heat and cold) in both my arms and legs. Tonight it's present in pretty much my whole body along with some numbness in my hands and forearms. I know paresthesia can be a side effect of Lexapro, but this seems extreme. Most people mention tingling hands or scalp, but not their whole body, especially at this low a dose. Has anyone else experienced severe and extensive paresthesia with Lexapro - or any other SSRI for that matter? And if you did, how did you determine it wasn't something else such as pinched nerve, brain tumor or multiple sclerosis?
