Anyone live in Canada?

I live in BC, Canada, and I need a new psychiatrist because I didn't like the last one.
I wonder if I need a referral from family doctor (primary doctor) to see a psychiatrist.
I had the last psychiatrist from my family doc, but I now have a new family doctor. I'm afraid that if he'll refer me to a new psychiatrist.
