What exactly is the problem? Do you feel that it is less effective? My doctor recently prescribed Remeron (mirtazapine) for me and encouraged me to use the name brand. He doesn't think that generics are universally equivalent to the original name brand preparations. He has seen a big difference with paroxetine (Paxil) in particular, having had people relapse into depression after making the switch to the generic.
