If you are experiencing psychosomatic pain, the best medication (I would say) is Amitriptyline; be careful though because I was told it changes the metabolism (possible weight gain).
Check out the med at: http://my.webmd.com/content/drugs/4/4046_1210?bn=AmitriptylineI was complaining of pain and discomfort in my pelvic region. After having some tests done, including an ultrasound to check for cysts on my ovaries (there were none), I was sent to a gynocologist. He said that the number one complaint of people with depression is pain in the pelvic region. He concluded that my pain was pyschosomatic, and also offered me Amitriptyline. I declined to use the drug. I'm still not convinced of his diagnosis, but I do have to admit that after I started anti-depressants (Zoloft and later Paxil) the pain went away. So perhaps he was right. Hope you feel better soon. God Bless you.
