It was warning that emailing a particular individual might not be wise.
Perhaps I am mistaken, but it seems rather offending to me. I am specifically speaking of the end of the letter, I quote you, " à plus tard ..." If by this you meant A+, and "tard" as in short for retard, I do not appreciate that type of attack on my intelligence. I will be reporting this on the administration board.

Perhaps loosely, again, it means "more later".
If you run into such a quandary again, you can use the Google language feature to translate, but be warned, it translates literally.
