Anxiety and depression are considered mental illnesses on their own. However, it's typical that they can be present with just about every other mental illness. I hope I'm being clear (I'm tired). For instance, I might be suffering from the mental illness depression. In addition I may also have Bipolar Disorder. (just an example). Hope this helps you.
