I have been on Seroquel 100mgm at bedtime for three years. At first I was on a much larger dose, but had side effects, mainly fatigue and listlessnness. However the current dose at bedtime seems to keep anxiety at bay.
Also I second the new doctor approach, however I will tell you that with a large number of physicians,if you walk in the office asking for a SPECIFIC medication by name, you will most likely send the doc's "addiction antennae" up. If they ask YOU what has worked in the past (which he/she should) hopefully you can name more than one. Many mental health professionals find anxiety disorders one of the toughest things to treat properly. Oh yes, one more thing, when a patient has a history of having seen more than two docs for the same problem, and then asks for an opioid (ie Vicodin) or a benzodiazapine (ie Valium, Xanax, etc.) it can look to the new physician like "doctor Shopping", and send up red flags. I hope every thing works out for you!
