I had to stop effexor because of excessive night sweat that kept me awake. My Pdoc told me the way to taper off which, to make long story short, was in 3days. Withdrawal symptoms? Ofcourse!!!!!! Almost all what we talk about here, though I found out this site after I got so sick from it and questioned why I was going thru what I was going thru. Pdoc's comment was "Oh you lok terrible, it's too quick to taper off." As most deppressed people are, I am very diligent and take meds accoding to what I'm directed to. Now I don't feel comfortable with him, yet due to the shortage of Pdoc in my area, unless I pay out of pocket, I maynot have a choice. For that, I am relectant to make a complaint...I have difficulty comfronting with anyone, if I can say no or comfront as my gut feeling tells me to, I wudn'd have all these problems to begin with. Is it a mutual agreement to take or not take meds, or am I to follow his advise? Are Pdoc only docs to prescribe ADs and other meds related to mental health?
