Hi. Have been on Lex since Feb. Have lost 10lbs. because of the loss of appetite se. In the beginning I didn't want to eat anything, not even sweets or cookies which I ABSOLUTELY love. Nothing was appealing, didn't want to put ANYTHING in my mouth. And I don't believe it was from depression, I was depressed befor I started Lex and ate like a PIG. Now I would say I'm almost back to normal, I have an appetite and I crave all those BAD foods just like befor, only difference is that I eat smaller portions, and I don't really feel hungry during the day. After dark I sometimes overdo the *munchies* eating chocolate or cookies. I too still have slight diahrea, but I don't have to go more than usual, if you don't mind me being graphic...when I go everything is *looser* than normal, but this has not really been a problem. I'm going for a physical next week just to make sure everything is OK.

I have also had trouble w/feeling depressed. The first episodes occured around weeks 4-5. I went from 5mg to 10mg and that helped. Around end of month 4 I went through it again, and pdoc raised me to 20mg. Doing pretty well at 20mg still, but still have days that are much worse than most, manage to get through them and then the next day I'm doing better again.

You may want to talk to your DR about raising dose, it might help you too.

Best of luck to you!~~~8|8
