Anybody know about Artane?

My son is taking 20 mg Zyprexa and the Dr added Artane to counteract side effects of this. He is taking 5 mg. of artane twice a day. Does anyone know if Artane itself has side effects and is there a specific dose required in proportion to anti-Psy med.. What side effects does it cancel out?
