> Last week I had started generic Dexedrine and found it wasn't working well at all (as compared to months of good results with Dex spansules (5mg 2x day)). I'd been thinking that somehow I was reacting differently to generic vs. name brand dexedrine. But in thinking about it- perhaps one other factor is causing the difference.

My old Dex prescription had run out a bit before that, so I'd never had both at the same time. Is there some chance that Ambien interferes with dexedrine? I take Ambien at 11pm (2.5 to 5 mg) and the d-amphetamine at 9-10am and 1-2pm (5mg each).
Not likely, particularly if the dose is only 2.5 to 5 mg. Ambien is pretty much out of your system after a full night's sleep (8 hours). Perhaps you just need a larger dose of dex?
