I skipped the thread, forgive any redundencys This is what I did- Nifedipine is the standard from what I've heard. It helped a little. My doc sent me out for a blood pressure monitor so I could keep an eye on things. Sometimes you feel funny, but it's easier to check it at home. If you're normal or high normal, don't sweat it. If the numbers are roaring up, you know to go to the ER.
I never had a hypertension problem, but you can get this nasty sick feeling from low levels of tyramine (I would get all drooly) and all you can do is let it clear your system. Over the long term I got more tyramine tolerant to stuff like M&Ms and minor stuff.
Anyway, the diet sounds scary but you'll adjust. Just tell people you have food allergies if you eat out and have to ask a lot of questions. I thought no pizza was a cheap price for feeling decent. Just get chinese instead.
