So I don't consider this a rational assumption, but maybe I'm off-base here?Get a new pdoc who has experience with social anxiety disorder. You don't get over SP anymore than you get over depression. In fact, ignoring SP can make it worse. You naturally run from the situations you fear, reinforcing that fear. This may highten your anxiety in the future. It's necessary to face your fears and push yourself, but with CBT or medication. Ideally, both.
