I also can be a compulsive cleaner/arranger. I am definitely aware of the sedation, but I'm hoping that it will help me sleep and that (because of its short half-life) the sedation during the day won't be so bad. (I take trazodone at night now but am hoping that I won't need it if I take seroquel.) What I'm curious about is what dosage you took and what dosage your doctor was aiming for. I can't find much info regarding dosage for Seroquel when used to augment an ssri for ocd. How long did you try it for? Thanks
> I have tried this. I think it could help you depending on the type of OCD you have. I was (am) a compulsive cleaner/arranger and it would help me to be able to actually sit down and relax. However, I found it to be too sedating for my taste. It's a pretty sedating med. I have heard from my pdoc that the sedation goes away in time, I never got that far into it to figure that out. I have found Zoloft to be the best for OCD for me.
