new ADD med Strattera any one know anything

I went to my doctor today about my addition to hydrocodone and I am going to go see a pdoc she said when you dont treet your ADD you might start self medicating with other drugs but know she want to put me on Strattera she said it was a non-narcotic and i dont know any long term side affects

any thoughts
