Wellbutrin is an antidepressant. If one is bipolar they need to be on a mood stabilizer prior to starting an antidepressant. Mood stabilizers include lithium, many anticonvulsants and sometimes the calcim channel blockers verapamil and nimodipine. Nimodipine isn't used much as it is <extremely> expensive.
