I'm currently taking moclobemide at 600mg/day. When I started on 150mg/day I had insomnia and a pesky upset stomach for about three weeks before both side effects gradually disappeared. Each time I increase the dose the side effects return for about a week and then disappear again. They don't appear to get any worse as the dose goes higher, but the positive effects do get stronger.
I should give it a couple of weeks more before you start reaching for the benzos as I personally think you'd be much better off without them.
