A lot of people puch lamictal up to 300mg+. A lot of people who treat bipolar believe that it is best to use more mood stabilizers and less antidepressants if possible. I am one such person. The Lamictal may exert greater antidepressant effects at the higher doses also.

This is an anticonvulsant (antiseizure) medicine.
Same class of medicine as Depakote,Neurontin,Lamictal,etc.

I was flabbergasted at your situation with changing pdocs (2 of whom in my opinion seemed flaky) and 3 medicines cold turkey. Never seen something like this. :(
