Follows:Celexa:Listed as infrequent is alopecia,eczema,dermatitis.
Most common(by %) effects:
dry mouth 20%
Nausea 21%
somnolence(sedation) 18%these 3 significantly higher than placebo
Effexor: Listed as infrequent is
alopecia,dermatitis, acnelisted as frequent is
emotional lability (instability of emotions)
dyspensia (upset stomach)
abnormal vision, ear pain
anorgasamia (you can figure out what that one means).
dysuria (urinary problems)
hematuria (blood in urine)
highest adverse effects vs. placebo: (at 75mg) increases with doseasthenia (bodily weakness) 16.9%
anorexia 14.6%
insomnia 22.5%
nervousness 21.3%
dizziness 19.1%Prozac:
Listed as infrequent:
alopecia, eczema, dermatitisside efffects vs. placebo for depression
nausea 21%
anorexia 11%
dry mouth 10%
tremor 10%
insomnia 16%soooooo.... although all three of these meds list alopecia as "infrequent" they still affect a % who take the meds. Whereas PDR data comes from the drug manufacturer, the FDA gets kinda nosey about their clinical trials.
As with most meds, YMMV (your mileage may vary)
If you think one med MIGHT be a problem, there are quite a few more that do similar positive things with fewer negative things. It is, however, very individualized, so you will have to get a Pdoc that will listen to your concerns, and work with you. Hope this helps.PAX
