You could try adding some famotidine (Pepcid) or something similar about an hour before you go to bed and stay away from food 3-4 hrs before you go to sleep. The lessened reflux might help you sleep better. You could also try the new lower-dose 200microgram melatonin at bedtime as well. You could try both of these first before you go see your GP.

Thanks Mitch - I hadn't thought about the correlation between when I eat and when I go to sleep (I had never experienced heartburn in my pre-prozac life!) On that subject - when did you find was the best time to take your dose? I usually take it a few hours before bed with food (or else I get nauseous)hence the heartburn. Recommendations?
