(A little off topic) CamW…do Coyotes eat dogs?

I keep running into a pack of coyotes on my jog. Luckily my dog (who weighs about 10 kg) stays pretty close to me. My brother seems to think they run off with little city dogs?
I love my dog very much. Do you know if this happens? thanks, Janice
